Michael was appointed to the Board of Education on February 6, 2024 in the   capacity of a Trustee. He is a lifelong resident of Avoca and a Yale High School graduate (2001). Michael is married to his lovely wife, Nicole, who is also a Yale Graduate, and they have four wonderful children: Zoey, Michael, Zachary and Everly. Mike brings with him a diverse background as he has extensive commercial construction experience and is currently managing a construction company. In addition, he is the proprietor of Mike Johnson Farms which he established in 2008 where he grows corn, soybeans and wheat. Being community-minded is certainly not new territory as Mike and his wife have been very active throughout the community. Additionally, Mike served on the Board of Education as a Trustee from June 24, 2019 -  November 8, 2022.

 

He believes in the educational mission and is very supportive of the entire staff and appreciates the collective efforts that are made to provide exceptional learning opportunities.
