Yale Elementary School takes pride in providing well rounded and challenging academic atmosphere focused on growing the whole child for a life of learning. Staff members strive to build a safe and caring school community built on personal relationships. All staff incorporate a positive behavior management system within our school focused on recognizing students for risk taking, collaborative learning, and following our BARK expectations. We recognize and value the important partnerships the family and community play in supporting our vision. Each Yale Elementary School student and staff member will be challenged to reach his or her maximum level of growth: intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially.
While we know there is more to student success than test scores, we do take great pride in our 2016 MSTEP scores, which had Yale Elementary, ranked third out of twenty-eight schools in the county. Staff will continue to improve instructional practices through consistent professional development in curriculum and student engagement. Staffs understanding and desire to continue learning is reflective in classroom practice and an example to all students on the importance of lifelong learning.
